Now in his 42nd year of practice, Dr. Douglas Block continues to use two benchmarks of success: positive reviews from satisfied patients and the referrals they provide. "We have always offered high-quality dental care in a welcoming setting," he says. "Patients compliment us on the quality of care and how comfortable they were during treatment. We listen carefully to their concerns and expectations and explore options so that they can make informed treatment decisions."

Dr. Block, who shares his multi-disciplinary practice with Dr. Charles G. Kocun, uses digital radiography to reduce radiation, 3-D scanning to eliminate messy impressions, and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanning to detect problems before they develop. The state-of-the-art technology enables the doctors to transform a smile into one that you will be proud to show off. “We are not a corporate practice or in a large clinic setting,” he says. "What we do is try to provide personalized care and establish a high level of trust with all of our patients."

An 11-time New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist, Dr. Block is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. What is he most proud of? "The establishment of a successful practice, with many devoted patients and incredible staff members who are very compassionate,” he says. “That allows me to enjoy coming to work every day."

Dr. Block was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He received his bachelors of science degree in Biochemistry from Stoney Brook University. He enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter. His hobbies include photography and is an avid sports enthusiast.
